Our roots are speaking

Our roots are speaking,

Through our thick skins their voices are echoing,

For the remembrance of our origin they are pleading,

Deep within our souls their pain is penetrating,

For being uprooted they are crying,

We feel their pain whilst our hearts are bleeding,

Our roots are speaking.

Listen,

through the ears of my soul their painful melody I hear,

For the extinction of our culture and heritage they fear,

You linger around without direction,

You are hopeless because there is no motivation,

You live aimlessly because you lack passion,

If only you would listen,

Our roots carry a life long lesson.

Our roots are speaking,

Against modern civilisation they are campaigning,

Against false accents they are chanting,

Against moral decay the are debating,

Our roots are speaking!
